A$AP Rocky has hit the Billboard 200 top spot with his new album A.L.L.A ones To WATch hAnnAh V South London singer-songwriter Shay La Rose returns with her brand new single 'Running Hannah V is a classically trained musician who is often on the road playing keys for music royalty such as Jessie J, Rihanna and Gnarls Barkley. She also streams her own music, which is influenced by classic R&B and soul, and is full of modern production techniques, dance floor elements, knocking drums, screeching synths and gritty bottom ends. After releasing her EP Version 2.0 in April, with the title track being premiered by Mistajam, Hannah V has now turned her attention to a series of intriguing remixes, beginning with Rihanna's 'BBHMM'. The second remix is a fresh, emotive, key-filled version of Kendrick Lamar's 'Swimming Pools', which perfectly showcases her ability to blend classical training with modern production. Speaking about the inspiration for the remix, Hannah said, "I was having a really shitty week…I was too skint to get effed up! I couldn't even drink the pain away!! So, instead - this remix was born." She's also gone to work on the Jay Z classic 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder', delivering some seriously unexpected twists on the hip-hop classic – the soft intro of twinkling keys makes way for a mega bassline. Again the lady herself explains it best: "With this remix, I just wanted to EFF ISH up, you get me??". Tune into Periscope to catch Hannah V streaming new music every Monday at 7pm and following up with a vlog of her weekly antics every Thursday at 7pm. Drake headlines the first of the festival's three days, and after his no-show last year he's got some making up to do. Man of the moment A$AP Rocky, and UK talents Krept & Konan and Ms Dynamite are also on course to smash it. Saturday hosts some huge names, including Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige and Childish Gambino, and though Sunday has a dancey vibe, Nicki Minaj, Rae Sremmurd, Pusha T will no doubt tear it up. A.L.L.A has big guest features from the likes of Kanye West, Miguel, Schoolboy Q and weirdly Rod Stewart, and on the album Rocky tackles fame, grief and psychedelia – he lost producer and friend A$AP Yams in January, and his single 'L$D' is an ode to acid, which he enjoyed during an orgy at SXSW. He's definitely gone darker but this record proves A$AP Rocky is one of the hottest names in hip-hop right now.
