BIG NIGHTS OUT Lucky Number: 10th Birthday Party Village Underground 23/07/2015 To celebrate their 10th birthday, indie label Lucky Number are throwing a huge party featuring Darwin Deez, Oscar and very special guests. Since 2005 the label has released music by Darwin Deez, Gotye, Hinds and Caged Animals, so you know the party soundtrack is going to be on point. HOUSe INdIe HIp HOp reGGae dNB SpeCIaL @ GUeSTLISTdOTNeT / SearCH YOUTUBe fOr GNTV YOUr HOrOSCOpe BAM BAM Concrete 24/07/2015 Irish Moss Records and Rompa's Reggae Shack are joining forces for a night dedicated to the best in classic dancehall, jungle, reggae and the phattest hip-hop beats. ARIES from Chopstick Dubplate is the special guest headliner with Capitol 1212, Dirty Dubsters, Daddy Nature, Wreck It Up Crew and Worries International also lining up, and MC Kwasi on hosting duties. AWOL The Qube Project 08/08/2015 AWOL is back with a massive celebration of all things jungle, D&B and garage with over 30 artists spread across three rooms. The line-up is suitably epic - in the D&B room alone you'll get to see Majistrate, Logan D, Tyke, Voltage, Boylan, Funsta, Ruffstuff, Cropz, Felon, Mekar and Azza. Try brushing your teeth with the opposite hand and your back to the mirror. There's nothing like a challenge to focus the mind before you begin the day. Venus is entering your sign and it brings a sense of panic, so slow it down. Getting trapped in a turtleneck is not a valid excuse for being late to work. You will have an insatiable craving for Bovril this month. Indulge by all means but best to keep it behind closed doors. Office Bovril is not a good look. It's a mixed bag for you this month as you will fall of a treadmill in a busy gym and your boss calls you Susan, but your lentil curry recipe is killing it at dinner parties. Foliage is no friend to you this month, so avoid all trees and bushes, don't eat anything green and steer clear of anyone in a floral print. Luck is finally on your side - you get an extra chicken nugget in your takeaway, your fish stops resenting you and you land a paper ball in the bin from across the room. What a hero. Love is a minefield for you this month. A blind date presents you with one sock and a teabag, and you'll literally bump into your ex on the tube, but a dog will give you a high five, so the animals are on your side. Take this a sign to go shopping, and maybe look for a new job. Sep 24 - Oct 23 Libra It may be a dying art but an old-fashioned, hand-written letter could turn your love life around this month. Don't forget to add doodles for that special touch. Work prospects are in limbo for you as Mercury wanes - the photocopier will continue to hate you but at least everything on your desk is perpendicular. Mar 21 - Apr 20 aries Beware hamsters this month. Sure they look cute but they'll nibble a hole in your fave t-shirt and hide straw in your shoes. Best to stay away from all creatures smaller than horses. An opportunity to travel for work arises this month but think carefully before accepting. Travelling to Aberdeen in a bus full of chickens doesn't scream glamour. 2 Issue 77 / 2015 GUESTLIST guestlist.net D12 O2 Academy Islington 03/08/2015 The Detroit hip-hop supergroup are back to tear up the capital. They performed at the O2 Academy back in 2011, and are ready to unleash chaos on the venue once more. D12 are famous for having some of the craziest and most energetic live shows in the game and this looks to be no exception. Don't miss Bizarre, Swifty, Kuniva and DJ Don Q causing mayhem. King Original Electric Ballroom 24/07/2015 Following a sell out show in Brixton, King Original is heading north of the river to Camden for another grime and garage special. The mega line-up includes Newham Generals, P Money & Blacks, Cas, Big Narstie, Flowdan, Chronik, Logan Sama, Champion, Heartless Crew, Spliffy Ranger and Brakeman, AND there's a grime vs bashment clash on in room 2! Bicep + Derrick May XOYO 25/07/2015 Bicep continue their 13 week workout with another mega line-up. Techno legend Derrick May steps up to the plate, as does UK house don Paul Woodford. The Love Glove crew with Hammer in tow will be bringing the disco vibes, and of course the Belfast boys themselves will be dropping their own brand of house on the crowd.
