This will be Arcadia's first ever city- centre event, fusing innovative music, circus, sculpture, special effects, recycled biofuel pyrotechnics to deliver a truly epic weekend on home-turf. Friday 4th September's show will see Bristol's very own drum and bass captain Roni Size and his Reprazent crew performing live and British jungle producer Congo Natty ft Congo Dubz and Tenor Fly. Dance legends Leftfield, who are currently riding high with their critically acclaimed new album Alternative Light Source, will also take to the gigantic spider. Day two of the event welcomes Bristol's home hero Eats Everything, BBC Radio 1 DJ and lady of the moment Annie Mac, house and bass duo Gotsome, and Monki, the underground tastemaker championing new electronic talent on her regular Radio 1 show and digital imprint ZOO Music. Combining cutting edge technology, top level pyrotechnics, acrobatics and the leading lights of the electronic music scene, the show will be of truly monumental proportions. Arcadia Metamorphosis, is being brought to Bristol as part of the city's year as European Green Capital. It will see the conversion of Arcadia's signature flames to biofuel – creating the world's first recycled biofuel pyrotechnics system. It's one of six projects part funded by Arts Council England's Exceptional Award as part of Bristol's year as European Green Capital. The event will be produced by Team Love in partnership with Bristfest. 7 25 Issue 78 / 2015 FESTIVALS guestlist.net The world-famous mechanical spider, built in Bristol from 50 tonnes of recycled military hardware, is set to land in Bristol's Queen Square ArcAdiA SpectAculAr bring MetAMorphoSiS to briStol The good people behind SW4 have put a monster programme together This August Bank Holiday Clapham Common is clearly the place to be – Fatboy Slim, Maceo Plex and Andy C are all hosting their own arenas and the line- ups for both days is rammed packed with talent. On top of that, SW4 festivalgoers also have a ton of exclusive performances to look forward to. Claptone is bringing his Immortal Live show to the UK for the first time after debuting it at Ultra earlier this year, Dubfire is bringing his new live experience HYBRID to Clapham, the only place to see it in Europe for the rest of the summer, and Mountainking (the combined forces of Ejeca and Citizenn) are debuting their live show in a world exclusive. As well as all of those shiny new shows, SW4 plays host to some b2b sets you won't see anywhere else like Gorgon City b2b Pete Tong, Green Velvet b2b Patrick Topping, Solomun b2b Âme, and Carl Cox b2b Loco Dice. And if all that festival fun wasn't quite enough, there's plenty on offer at South West More. The afterparty for Sunday is still being kept under wraps but Saturday sees the party move from Clapham Common to Electric Brixton, where Eric Prydz and Nic Fanciulli will be in charge of the vibes. Safe to say, SW4 have knocked this one out of the park. SW4 hAve A SuMMer SpectAculAr in Store
