7 27 Issue 78 / 2015 FESTIVALS guestlist.net Following on from last year's Desert Island Disco, Bestival are bringing us a Summer of Love. It's the perfect theme, as Rob Da Bank has said, "It's largely a positive reaction to all the bad news and downright evil going on in the world. We're not hiding our heads in the sand and pretending everything's rosy and laid-back but we can, as a big family of 50,000 people, come together, listen to music, party and spread love, even if it's just for the weekend. That has always been at the heart of Bestival and its year- round community. Hate out, love in!" To accompany all those positive vibes, there's a mind-blowing, genre-spanning line-up on show – The Jacksons, Duran Duran, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Flying Lotus, Tame Impala, Skrillex, Seth Troxler, Kate Tempest, FKA Twigs, Boy Better Know, Jamie xx, Four Tet, Lion Babe, Little Dragon, the list goes on and on! That line-up would be enough to get anyone excited, but Bestival only went and took things up a level with their Sunday headliner – Missy Elliot! She's been off the stage for far too long and we can't wait to see this hip-hop legend work it on the Isle of Wight. Rob and Josie the Da Bank have pulled another cracking theme and line-up out of the bag Bestival, we heart you Creamfields is going bigger and better The monster dance fest has revealed its production plans and they are epic Creamfields has been putting on massive weekenders for a while now, but instead of resting on their laurels, they are taking things to another level for 2015. This year sees the unveiling of a brand spanking new 15,000 capacity MEGA Arena, a new CURVE Arena with wrap around production, and bigger North and South stages as well as the return of the Tower Stage. On top of all those lights, lasers and LED screens, the crème de la crème of electronic music talent will take to the fields - Rebel Sound, Paradise, All Tong Pete Tong, MK Area10 feature amongst the arenas, with the likes of Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, The Chemical Brothers, Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn, Hot Since 82, Skream, Wilkinson, Fatboy Slim, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer, Lee Foss, Sasha and many more on the bill. Yeah, it's not a bad way to spend the Bank Holiday is it?
