Worakls - adagio For square Worakls is ready with his debut release for FFRR Jasper James is already a pretty big name – his father is Sub Club's very own Harri, he's delivered an Essential Mix, has a monthly Rinse FM slot, released on Optimo Trax, played at huge nights across Europe including sets at Space and Sankeys Ibiza. However he's just secured a permanent Saturday night residency at London's newest club Phonox, which is sure to take his career to the next level. As the club has said, "There's no end date to his residency, and though there will be guests… Jasper has the reigns." Watch out, Jasper James is on course to become a superstar. He's not a new name on the scene, but James' profile is set to skyrocket The four-track EP is the duo's biggest release on their 17 Steps label to date ones to Watch Jasper James l moFFa album oF the month dusky - ordinary World ep From their nostalgic piano anthem 'Yoohoo' through to the darker, jungle-nodding house of 'Inta', London duo Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell. aka Dusky, have become renowned for both the breadth and diversity of their production sound. As touring DJs, their global reach has included headline tours in Australia, New Zealand, North America, UK and Europe over the past 12 months - including a packed out Miami WMC showcase and their all-night set at London's Laundry (which sold out nearly a month in advance). Alongside techno anthem 'Parakeet Feet' and the hard-hitting, warehouse vibes of 'Jilted', 'Skin Deep' was premiered as an Essential New Tune by Danny Howard on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show. As classy and catchy as the duo's previous Beatport #1s, 'Skin Deep' draws on ambient, almost Orbital-esque textures, distinctive vocal hooks and an unmistakably Dusky groove; a unique blend full of sonic detail and musicality. 'Squeezer', premiered by Annie Mac, rounds out the EP, which Dusky described as "a bit of a roller and also takes a slightly different route to some of our previous tracks. It completes our Ordinary World set, which we feel represents four very different sides of a Dusky DJ set." Balancing moody tones with warmer shades, the diverse four tracks of the Ordinary World EP are another reminder of Dusky's widescreen approach to club sounds. 38 Issue 78 / 2015 HOUSE/ tEcHnO guestlist.net nothing Ever Hurts Shadow Child & Ben Pearce Strictly Jacked Various Artists Zora EP Solomun Forever EP Sante & Sidney Charles Free Falling Miguel Campbell & Beccs Lott Fall (Remixes) Kidnap Kid time Flies Adam Beyer Re-Flex Part 1 Luke Solomon ft.
