Their mission is to connect philanthropic women and men with programs that help local women and girls in need. Accord- ing to Advisory Board president Becky Hallowell, the United States has some of the lowest rates of any of the developed countries for women's health and women's economic security. Yet only eight cents of every dollar donated to organized philanthropy nation- wide is directed specifically toward women and girls.
