as soon as they are able to. After Archibald's win in San Felipe, he finished sixth at the SCORE Baja Sur 500, simply because he misjudged the distance and ran out of gas 40 miles from the finish line. With that disappointment behind him, Archibald and team drove hard at the SCORE Baja 500 and pulled off a second place win. With Judy beside him, Archibald soloed the race and was happy with his performance. "She likes the adrenaline rush," says Archibald. "Judy is one of my biggest supporters. She's originally from Poland so she's a pretty strong willed gal. Before she started racing with me, I felt bad leaving her behind. So she jumped in the passenger seat and it's been this way ever since. We will be soloing the SCORE Baja 1000 together too!" "My goal is to go all out at the SCORE Imperial Valley 250. But the points don't necessarily work in our favor, as we'll have to drop those we earned winning in San Felipe," says Archibald. "So, were going to run hard and take care of the vehicle." The Jimco Class 1 chassis is the same race car Archibald has had for several years. He and his crew have taken care of it and it's managed to be very reliable. "I have had a lot of help from Mike Julson. He wishes I'd buy a new vehicle from him, but he's been very helpful in helping me make it perform and handle well," Archibald says. "If I can get the points championship this year, it would mean a lot to me and my crew!" If Archibald's impressive driving performance continues, he'll definitely rack up a 2015 SCORE championship season. Archibald will need to simply finish at the Imperial Valley 250, and have a top finish at the SCORE Baja 1000 to make it all happen. So far this season, everything seems to be going his way. If he wins, Archibald will be able to prove that you only need dedication, and a love for the sport, to really come out ahead. SJ 048 SCORE JOURNAL
