rise just above the roll cage. The two wires for the fan are made to hook into the UTV's factory connectors into the vehicle harness. So there's no wire- cutting or splicing necessary. The IP rated scavenge fan is designed to last 50,000 hours in extreme conditions and draws a minimal amount of power, only 3.1 amps, so it won't affect other electronic devices on the vehicle. To direct the clean air from the rear of the particle separator and into the factory air intake tube, S&B supplies a high-quality silicone tube with stainless steel clamps. This connects the Particle Separator to the intake duct on the UTV, directing clean air to the filter for optimum performance in extremely dusty conditions. Using S&B's particle separator can definitely be a game changer for any UTV team seeking to maintain engine power during desert races. While it's important to point out that the unit isn't intended to make additional power, it's evident that UTV filters definitely get extremely clogged during normal use and especially under racing conditions. So as teams begin using this technology, the S&B Particle Separator may actually end up separating the field of competitors among those that have more power by the end of a long, grueling race. SJ INSTALLATION Installing the S&B Particle Separator is simple. The unit attaches to the rear UTV roll bar and uses a duct to direct clean air into the factory air intake system. The unit is a complete plug- and-play system where the power for the fan plugs into the factory harness without any wire cutting or splicing. This demonstration of the installation took about 15 minutes to install. THE S&B PARTICLE SEPARATOR IS EASY TO INSTALL. BOLT THE BRACKETS ONTO THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT AND LIFT IT ONTO THE REAR SECTION OF THE UTV'S ROLL BAR. 054 SCORE JOURNAL
