Tale Of Us & Mind againsT - asTral Is the doctrine of the mind fully contained within the physical brain? Dosem has been steadily rising up through the house and techno ranks over the past decade. Over the years the Spaniard has released his own material on a number of big labels but now it's time for Dosem to take the reins with his own label project. Houstrike is the name and the ethos is all about "creative freedom, breaking rules and inner revolution". As such, the material will exclusively focus on his own original production, though he hasn't ruled out the odd collaboration or two! Given the ethos of this new venture, don't expect every track to be geared for the floor, rather Houstrike will point more towards the b-side and album styled tracks. Dosem takes the next step on his way up to the top by announcing a new label Ostgut Ton - Zehn Ones TO WaTch hOUsTrikes l MOffa albUM Of The MOnTh OsTgUT TOn - Zehn Reaching a decade of great music the German label Ostgut Ton has long been at the forefront of the techno scene. It's famous for bringing the sounds of the infamous Berghain and Panorama Bar to the world. The label has built a strong reputation across the world for its consistency in releasing high quality music. Starting at the end of 2005, its primary aim was to create a musical hub for the residents of Berlin's most talked about clubs. Ostgut Ton gives us entry, though a metaphoric one, into the world's most exclusive clubs. It's a snapshot of the eccentric vibes that those lucky enough to gain entry to gloat about. Hitting its 10th birthday, Ostgut Ton has decided to bring out a compilation, Zehn. Rather than being a 'best of' or 'ultimate floor fillers' package, Zehn will focus on the future, showcasing the astonishing talent that frequents the label. Zehn will sum up the label's musical ethos, with no creative boundaries. All the tracks are brand new material and when names like Norman Nodge, Ben Klock, Boris and Tobais are on the list you know it will be nothing short of perfection! The album will be released in a number of formats including vinyl, CD and digital download at the end of October. In the meantime the label is set to tour across the world, there's no further details then that but we'll be sure to let you know if London makes the list! 32 Issue 80 / 2015 HOUSE/ tEcHnO guestlist.net Dahlia EP Bicep & Hammer night Prayer Rashid Ajami, Jaw the Other Pan-Pot Damage/Veins Hot Since 82 Amsterdam Gets Physical 2015 m.O.N.R.O.E Dawn to Dusk Thomas Schwartz, Fausto Fanizza Viva Warriors Season 4 Detlef & Denney cala Salada Harvey, Hunzed carnival Leftwing & Kody Snake Skin Josh Butler VibrationZ wAFF Wrong turn EP Hauswerks, Doorly neW releases More @ guestlist.net/house Exploring this theme of journeying beyond our strict sense of self, label mates and friends Tale of Us and Mind Against have joined together once again to create 'Astral', a work that works, fittingly, well past the summation of its parts. Playing with tension and release and a restrained but expressive sonic palate that paints a picture without words, these accomplished artists from the Life and Death team bring us to a place that seems to surely exist. Even if we might not be able to pinpoint exactly where that is.
