steering," says Schwarz. "They just grab the wheel, screw it in, and the car snaps back. They don't know how much steering angle they have. They only know that the car is doing something unexpected. The more precise drivers are with their steering, the better they can work with on and off throttle positions, and setup the car before a corner. Get in the corner, swing, counter steer it, go on the throttle, lift off the throttle, and make use of the counter swing. These are all the technical stuff we teach. Drivers will benefit if they have good car control." When Eugenio showed up at the school he was a bit unprepared for the snow and cold being so close to the Arctic Circle. " Showing up in Finland and seeing nothing but snow and ice everywhere was crazy," said Eugenio. "I don't know if I was a good student, but I consider myself an entertaining one. I don't know of anyone else who would show up in board shorts and sandals, where is -40 degrees. I was proving my manhood though it only lasted about 30 seconds. The best part was drifting the car sideways mid corner and hanging my foot out the window, in sandals." Shortly after arrival at the lake, Schwarz likes to get right to business with his students. "I had lunch with Armin when I got there, and then it was straight to driving," said Eugenio. "Armin's program is second to none. He breaks down working on car control, steering angle, and hand placement on the wheel. Everything you need to know; he is a great teacher. It was a humbling experience. I did really well in the two-wheel drive car, but in the four-wheel drive it took a while to get used to it. Once I did I drove well but it is a different style of driving. You almost have to drive it the opposite of a two-wheel drive car." THE INSTRUCTIONAL COURSE IS BUILT ON TOP OF A FROZEN LAKE AND HELPS DRIVERS IMPROVE THEIR LOW TRACTION SKILLS. 088 SCORE JOURNAL
