With vinyl sales increasing in
recent years and the annual,
beloved by many, Record Store
Day still going strong year after
year, we couldn't be happier to
let all you wax aficionados in on a
little secret. Vinyl Pimp, situated
in Hackney Wick, have decided
to spread a little more joy into
the world (as if you deserve it) by
giving away over 5000 records.
First things first, no you can't get
down there early with your friend's
van and take the lot, they're not
spreading that much joy. However,
you can take up to ten, as long as
you share their Facebook post.
Easy enough. Oh and there are a
few other rules. You can only take
one lot of ten records and are not
allowed to "collect for a friend", as
if you would be that kind anyway
right? Plus only fifteen people
allowed in at a time, because
health and safety is a thing these
days. So get down there on
Fridays this month for your free
swag - happy digging!

the community that need our support, but we need some
help to do that."

Café saves leftover food from going
to waste, turns it into delicious
dishes and serves it to the homeless
for free and on a pay-as-you-feel
basis to everyone else. 40% of the
food produced in the UK goes to
waste, so as well as combating this
environmental issue, the café's ethos
of inclusion is helping to tackle
poverty too.
Save the Date has run for a year
without funding but it needs help
to keep going, especially now that
it's coming to winter and they don't
have enough warm, sheltered areas.
They also want to start running
community workshops like helping
widowed men over 60 learn to
cook for themselves, and as a not-
for-profit organisation, they need
donations to do so. As co-founder
