Issue 37 / MAR-APR 2012 THE GUESTLIST NETWORK INKIE STREET ARTIST www.guestlist.net 11 'SEE NO EVIL' BRISTOL STREET ART PROJECT Infamous for his huge street art project 'See No Evil' in Bristol, Inkie is a legend in both his hometown and around the world for his flawless talent. Starting out back in 1983 influenced by punk rock album graphics, 2000AD comics as well as having others such as Dondi, Seen & T-Kid to look up to it was only six years until he hit his first big milestone. In 1989 Inkie had placed 2nd in the World Street Art Championships and then not too long after- wards in the late 1990's went on to collaborate with fellow Bristol man Banksy. Together they created 'Walls On Fire', which was the largest UK graffiti event ever, bringing all the UK's finest street artists together for a 1.4km painting around the his- toric docks of Bristol. Inkie has also been part of the Shoreditch based Secret Wars Collective which battles all across Europe, both organised and featured in the launch for the book 'Graffiti World' and the LA produced movie 'Bomb It' which aired at the British Film Institute in 2007. Having produced work for Puma, Xbox, Adidas, Levis, Addict, Lovebox & Latitude; Inkie has proved himself to be a top graphic designer especially in the video game field where he has had his work featured in SEGA game 'Jet Set Radio'.
