WHY WE MARCH What isn't there to love?! March is the month where everything begins to change... The Alternative London Tour This quirky tour takes you on a 2-hour walk through London's East End to discover some of the alternative attractions the city has to offer. Not only does the tour cover the fasci- nating history and culture of the Spitalfields, Banglatown and Shoreditch areas, it also vis- its an assortment of some of the finest street art the area has to offer. Booking is essential but the tour is totally FREE so make sure you get down to discover East London in this slightly unconventional way. This month is when we wave goodbye to the sleety norm that is Winter and welcome in the warm undertones of Spring. With semi- consistent highs of 12 degrees (if we're lucky), this certainly has something on February! And if that wasn't enough, this is also the month of St Paddy's Day! So why not head down to the St Patrick's Day Parade on March 18th? From Green Park to Trafalgar Square, London's official Paddy's Day party will transform the streets into a stage for dancers, marching bands, comedians, street theatre groups, a parade of floats and much more! Activities will be taking place in central London and the main stage at Trafalgar Square will be host to both traditional and modern Irish entertainment. So make sure you're on the look out for that four- leafed clover and celebrate everything Irish with a pint of Guinness or a shot of whiskey... or both! It doesn't quite matter what you have in your hand just as long as you party hard!
