HIDEOUT FESTIVAL Hideout is back bigger and better. 29th June - 1st July @ ZRCE Beach, Pag Island, Croatia In 2011, HIDEOUT made its debut at the stunning ZRCE Beach on the Island of Pag in Croatia. Due to its extreme popularity last year, organisers have increased the festival's capacity this year with an extra stage, Kalypso. Conveniently positioned right on the seafront, Kalypso will recreate that exotic vibe for which HIDEOUT has become famous. More accomodation in the surrounding Novaljia and introducing the option to camp right next to the beach will compensate for the increased capacity. The 2012 line-up has some of the biggest names in elec- tronic music like SBTRKT, Andy C, Maceo Plex, Ben UFO and many more. It's going to be unmissable! SOUNDWAVE 19th to 23rd March @ Tisao Croatia Great music, boat parties and clear blue skies in Europe's new party capital Croatia is fast becoming a hotspot for foreign festivals. It hosts 9 every year on its sunny shores, an impressive roster that includes Hideout and Outlook. Now in its fourth year, Soundwave sets out to impress with a quirky ensemble of legends: De La Soul, decks master DJ Yoda, former DJ world champion DJ Kentar, eclectic electronica duo Plaid, rising star Ghostpoet and soulful Fink. There's even a DJ set from Craig Charles scheduled. Soundwave have always presented us with an interesting line- up, and this year is no exception. Despite a change of location, we can expect the very same magical experience in the idyllic coastal surround- ings of the fishing town Tisno. Now held over 5 days instead of 3, this festival really offers ticketholders the chance to relax into the experience. DIMENSIONS FESTIVAL This new festival boasts some of the best names in electronic bass music. 6th - 9th September @ Pula, Croatia The creators of the notorious Croatian bass culture music festival Outlook have recently released the line-up for its offshoot festival Dimensions. In light of concerns surrounding Outlook's startling growth, it's speculated that Dimensions is an attempt to replicate the intimacy of Outlook in previous years whilst maintaining the technical quality of the sound systems. Both the camping and the music will take place within the grounds of Fort Punto Christo (Outlook utilises further external camping sites). While several acts are shared with its big brother, Dimensions has a particular focus on underground electronic music. The event organisers guarantee that it will be the 'perfect place to enjoy the deep end of electronica, the best in techno, house, deep dubstep, drum & bass and other electronic sounds'. With a line-up including the likes of Shackleton, Joy Orbison, Pangaea, Loefah, Boddika, Mala, Pearson Sound, Ben UFO, Iration Steppas, Mungo's Hifi, Pinch, Dub Phizix to name but a few, it seems likely they'll deliver on this promise.
