Tackling the tough terrain and conditions weeded out only two finishers, Boe Huckins in the 740X bike that won the class, and Jeff Benrud in the 715x bike who came in second place. In the Pro Quad division, the 1a team held on to win their second SCORE Baja 1000. Led by Javier Robles Jr., the team consisted of Josh Row, Felipe Velez, and Jorie Williams behind the handlebars of their Honda TRX450R. Sportsman Racers Make Their Mark In SCORE History While it takes a great effort for Sportsman racers to compete at the 48th Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000, these racers wouldn't give up a chance to compete here. In the Sportsman Buggy Class, Derek Fletcher on with teammates Christyan Samano and Steven Arlia. The 1477 Unlimited Truck team of Ryan Lewis, Casey Adkisson, Justin Hermann, and Eric Sheetz won their class in a Chevy Silverado. The Janesky team of Lawrence and Tanner Janesky from Middelbury, Connecticut won the Sportsman Motorcycle class on a Honda CRF450X while the Sportsman Quad class was won by the 109a team of Juan Dominquez, Alonzo Domingues, Javier Curiel, and Jose Conteras on their Honda TRX450R. With the 48th Bud Light SCORE Baja, 1000 now in the record books, the race, and the season was very special for come racers and manufacturers. For example, this race, marked the 40th anniversary of BFG Tires participating in SCORE and is used by 27 of the overall four-wheel vehicle winners in the Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000. For the overall winners, this is Rob MacCachren's 13th career SCORE Trophy Truck win, Andy McMillin's eighth SCORE Trophy Truck win, and a perfect season for Tropny Truck Spec. racer Larry Connor. While the race is over, the televised broadcast of the race will appear on the CBS Sports Spectacular network, Sunday, December 20th at 9 p.m. EST. A two-hour special of the 48th Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 will also air on December 27th at 9 p.m. EST. SJ CLASS 50 WINNERS CONSISTED OF THE 501X TEAM OF MARC PRINCE, ERIC MCKENNA, STEVE WILLIAMS, DAVID POTTS, DOUGH SMITH, KRIS GOOLSBY, AND BOB JOHNSON.
