London Collections Men AW16 opened on 8th
January and ended on 11th January
The event took place over multiple
venues in London and saw the
work of over 70 British and
international menswear designers
exhibit their work in the designer
showrooms.
It is the fourth edition of the men's
version of London Fashion Week,
which has been making waves
showing fresh talent as well as
heritage brands.
Big names like Burberry, Topman
Design and Alexander McQueen
graced the runway, on show for
visitors and buyers. Amongst the
most radical designers present
were Nasir Mazhar, creator of
club-inspired streetwear, and
Bwoywonder, with his lego-based
headwear. In his collection, Mazhar
aimed to evoke 'a club world of
individual characters unified by
darkness'.
Boris Johnson, mayor of London,
said the event 'builds on our
city's reputation for tailoring and
innovation'.
