Rio Music Conference,
running from 27th January
– 9th February, is the most
important electronic music
gathering in South America.
As well as dozens of panels
and workshops featuring
some of the biggest national
and international names in
the game, the RMC also hosts
a special Club Week, a party
programme that takes over
some of the city's most famous
clubs.
The Rio Carnival is the RMC's
closing event and crowning
glory, and it's size and scale
shows how much of a force
dance music is in Brazil. From
5th – 9th February, some of
the most influential DJs of the
international scene will perform
at Marina da Glória, a venue
located in some of the city's
most beautiful surroundings.
This year, the likes of Axwell,
Vintage Culture, Bakermat,
Chemical Surf, Groove Light,
Ananda, Denis, Tropkilazz,
Omulu, Marginal Men,
Buchecha, Valesca, Kolombo
Hardwell, Raul Mendes and
more are all set to play.
The Rio Carnival is renowned
for being a sensory explosion
of colour, character, costumes
and dancers from around the
world and there really is no
experience quite like it.
