GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS BACK TO THE JUNGLE 42 Issue 83 / 2015 DNB guestlist.net DEF:INITION CHARITY FUNDRAISER FOR GREAT ORMOND STREET It's all about raving for a good cause Hybrid's new imprint takes it back to the core Jungle music is enjoying a ride of success right now and one label that epitomises that is DJ Hybrid's Deep In The Jungle. The label has had a successful few years and features all variations of jungle, frequently pushes the boundaries with cutting edge tracks. This new age jungle is hype, but nothing beats the vibes from the old skool style. With this in mind DJ Hybrid has set up a sister label, Back To The Jungle. It follows the success of the EP series baring the same name, and aims to "resurrect that original sound". The first releases are two blazing records from RMS/Maszive and Kartoon, and rest assured, there's plenty more we can expect from them this year! Def:inition are once again holding their charity drum & bass rave for the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Taking over The Qube Project, formerly Pacha London this January, Def:inition have invited a selection of jump up's finest. Up on the bill are Brockie, Mampi Swift, Grooverider, Majistrate, Logan D, and DJ Sly with many more artists who are there to do what they do best, trash the dance. It's the sixth time this event has taken place and raises a lot of money to such a great cause, giving us a chance to party and support a brilliant institution. Who said raving was damaging to society? ALBUM OF THE MONTH TECHNIQUE RECORDINGS 2015: DRUM & BASS ANNUAL Technique signed out of 2015 with an album package full of their best Technique Recordings waved goodbye to 2015 by dropping a hefty album summarising their year. Drumsound & Bassline Smith and their label never shy away - yet again they've been representing drum & bass music to the max and are responsible for some of the year's biggest tracks. The Technique 2015 Annual has collected the very best from its busy year. The usual Technique crew are on top form with many tracks from Tantrum Desire, L Plus and of course, label bosses Drumsound and Bassline Smith. They are joined with some of the imprint's newer recruits, including Document One amongst others. They have a collection of tracks that not only serve as a best of Technique but also the full spectrum of drum & bass, with big room, jump up styled tracks sitting next to tracks full of the summer bliss. All in all, a great album that closes a great year for the label. We can't wait to see what they have in store for 2016!
