HOUSE & TECHNO NEWS FLASH 6 Issue 83 / 2016 GUESTLIST guestlist.net Quality music, incredible vibes and smiling faces along with explosions of balloons and confetti, all went towards making this a top night out. Playing for the turn of the clock, Floating Points electronic set had a vast range of jazz sprinkled in and set the mood perfectly. Tama Sumo followed up from 1am till 4am. Her set was honestly amazing and still after three hours, you could have asked for three more. Rounding out the night was the ever fantastic Levon Vincent, who held the crowd amazingly until they dispersed and 2016 assuredly became a reality. Percolate put on yet another unbelievable night and made this long weekend really pop. All we can say now is bring on their January launch party! The critically acclaimed electronic duo take control of the decks at Brixton's Phonox on January 29th, and it's one you won't want to miss. The pair predominantly play live so this is a rare chance for you to see them on mixing duties and on an extended set at that, thanks to the club's one act per night programming policy. HIP HOP The Game announced his next project will be called '1992'. He hasn't specified whether it's a song or an album, but what we do know is that it's produced by BONGO ByTheWay and there will be no features. Ram Records get an explosive start to the year with a double- track release, 'Now The Future/Drop It Human', from Audio. Could a new album be on the way? REGGAE Multi-intstrumentalist Jack Garratt has been crowned king of the BBC Sound Of 2016 poll, ahead of his debut album Phase dropping in February. INDIE David Rodigan is back with another Ram Jam tour for 2016. A special Foundation Session, joining the dots across all UK sounds, hits Electric Brixton on February 26th.
