ISSUE 84 / 20016 25 FESTIVALS BLOC RETURNS TO THE UK This year Bloc returns to the UK, landing at Minefield, Butlins from Friday 11 March to Sunday 13 March. This year Bloc returns to the UK, landing at Minefield, Butlins from Friday 11 March to Sunday 13 March. The lineup keeps growing, with Jeff Mills, Thom Yorke and Four Tet some of its flashier names. GROOVEFEST MAKING THE MOVE TO MALTA After gaining a reputation for music in paradise with its Dominican Republic edition, Groovefest is bringing things a little closer to home by moving to Malta, from April 29th to May 1st The new-look Groovefest is all about uncompromising beats on a blissful getaway, and as such, has drafted in some of the best DJs in the world to play at some of Malta's most exciting locations. DJ Mag will kick things off with a launch event featuring Apollonia and D'Julz, and throughout the weekend, revellers can enjoy day parties with Kerri Chandler, Detroit Swindle, Chez Damier, MK and Sam Divine, plus night events like Knee Deep In Sound, with the talents of Matthias Tanzmann, Guti and Christoph on show. There's more names still to be announced, but it looks like the Maltese edition of Groovefest is in safe hands. NEVERENDING PARTY IS ON THE HORIZON Another amazing week is looming at what is undoubtedly now one of Europe's biggest ski festivals Horizon is back for its fourth year in Bulgaria, with a lineup to show that it really is at the top of its game. This is a firm favourite for anyone who wants to combine the fun of the slopes with non- stop partying and it's certainly value for money with the best apres-ski prices in Europe! We have some real pros on the lineup with Goldie and Congo Natty, and Nina Kraviz heading up the house side of things. We're excited to see Gentlemens Dub Club and Channel One pulling the punches from the reggae corner and we will be definitely be making the time to fit in seeing John Talabot and Session Victim on our midnight travels around Bansko... This really is the place to be want to be if you want to party hard and you want to ski!
