Turn to Palms Trax for a fresh take on Chicago house Palms Trax is the electronic music producer quietly making waves with uncompromising music and an unassuming attitude which has earnt him favours in the music industry, rightfully landing him at the front of the avant-garde with a minimum of hype and a maximum impact. Jay Donaldson makes Chicago beats from his Berlin headquarters, pairing warm melodies with creative programming, which keeps him outside of genre restraints. On the decks he combines funky cuts with house and soul-influenced selections, along with the bassier sounds which he grew up with near Bristol, making for a dancefloor to rival that of heritage acts in house music.
