This locale is a must visit for any burger connoisseur who has an appreciation for high quality, gourmet burgers. What makes a satisfactory burger? The buns used, quality of meat, does it have bacon, was it cooked as requested? Answer: All of the above, of course! 38 Degrees Ale House & Grill (named for both the degree of temperature the beers are kept and the count of beer on rotation) consistently knocks it out of the park with their gourmet Backyard Burger, made with angus chuck and topped with fresh tomato, lettuce, grilled onion, crispy smoked bacon and thousand island sauce on a warm, slightly sweet bun. The only thing that will stop you from devouring the burger immediately is the immense size that requires planning the burger takedown—it's safe to say a knife is recommended. Each bite of the (triple!) ground chuck is full of that rich, beefy fl avor and will melt in your mouth like butter. For more adventurous eaters, request the venison, duck or rabbit burger for a walk on the wild side. Of course, the menu features a plethora of "can't go wrong" options choices like cider mussels, curry salmon cake sliders and the juicy barbeque pulled pork sandwich, topped with spicy coleslaw, but the real star of the show is the burger—piled sky high with delicious toppings and dripping meaty juices on the soft egg bun. Now that's a good burger! L-D daily, 100 W.
