56 ISSUE 86 / 2016 REGGAE TRACK OF THE MONTH: BULBY YORK, BERES HAMMOND & BOUNTY KILLER - ANYTHING GOES Reggae legend Peter Tosh's family have been in a legal struggle over the funds from his estate since 2014. Three big names on one big track Three legends of the reggae genre have collaborated in order to produce this funky, up-tempo yet chill tune. With great melodies and backing vocals, beats and flow, 'Anything Goes' is definitely one to give a listen to. Beres Hammond provides the lighter vocals to the tune whilst Bounty Killer delivers his signature hard hitting lyrics. Mixed well with soothing tones, this track is full of contrast. Tosh's daughters, Aldrina and Niambi McIntosh became involved in a court hearing over $2 million (£1.4 million) in royalty payments, of which Niamni was accused of withholding from her siblings. Niambi which took hold of her late father's estate in 2009 has been hit with a civil lawsuit from Tosh's cousin Pauline Morris in New York, who claims she is owed around $300,000 (£210,830) in yearly fees. Morris is also accusing Niambi of cutting her out of potentially profitable negotiations to take an interest in Tuff Gong Records, the company co-founded by reggae artists Bunny Wailer and the late Bob Marley. Morris has cited an agreement which was drawn up in 1994 with estate executors, which entitles her to half of Tosh's royalties. Tosh was murdered in his home in Jamaica in 1987. NEWS: FAMILY AFFAIRS - PETER TOSH FAMILY WAR OVER ROYALTIES ALBUM OF THE MONTH: PERFECT GIDDIMANI - REGGAE FARM WORK His ninth studio LP is a follow up to his 2014 album [Better Off Dread] "The Jamaican artist gained worldwide recognition with his smash hit 'Hand Cart Bwoy' and has worked with many producers and record labels over the years, including Irievibrations Records, House of Riddim, DHF Records, Lustre Kings and Tiger Records. For his latest album [Reggae Farm Work], he has collaborated with renowned production house and record label Irie Ites and has given us a record with a variety of different styles, including elements of hip-hop, soul and dubstep, without forgetting his roots. 'Straight To Mi Heart' is a prime example of Perfect Giddimani at his best; a neat hook and a top beat combining for a great listen. Tracks like 'On My Corner' and 'Nobody Knows' are especially good, the former being so catchy, you're guaranteed to hit replay."
