"WHEN YOU PASS CHEERING
FANS IT SENDS ADRENALINE
AND EXCITEMENT THROUGH
YOU AND MAKES YOU WANT
TO DRIVE A LITTLE FASTER. "
- ANDY MCMILLIN
SCORE Journal: You had
some other big news for
this season running on Toyo
tires. Tell me about that.
Andy McMillin: I have talked
with Toyo for a couple of
years. They reached out, so
when I made the decision
to go solo this year, that was
one of the first companies
we contacted. I had won
my first SCORE Baja 1000
with Robby Gordon on Toyo
Tires so there was a bit of a
relationship already. That helped
them sell it to management
and they made me an offer I
couldn't refuse, especially if I
wanted to go racing again. I
am super excited, they make
a great tire. BFG has put a
lot into the sport, however,
and I have a lot of respect
for that, but competition is
good. It makes everyone step
up their game and I think
it's good for the sport. I am
looking forward to a long
relationship with Toyo Tires.
Andy McMilllin will be
competing in his TSCO Trophy
Truck at the 48th SCORE
Baja 500 on June 4th, and
then possibly looking for a
sixth win at the 49th SCORE
Baja 1000 in November. SJ
