14 ISSUE 87 / 2016 FILM Based on one of the most widely recognised Batman graphic novel, Batman: The Killing Joke depicts an incredibly deep story between two of the most iconic figures in comic book history, and now the new trailer for the feature length film has finally been released. The R-rated movie is looking to be a true retelling of one of the greatest Batman stories ever to be written, especially with Kevin Conroy reprising his role as the Dark Knight and Mark Hamill coming back after having "quit" delivering the superb voice of the Joker. The trailer is a great representation of how DC has not totally flopped and is still on point when it comes to their animated cinematic universe. In addition to this, the dark and gritty tone, visuals, directive approach and execution are sure to make it an outstanding watch, as well as exact shots of iconic scenes used in the graphic novel which can be briefly seen in the trailer below. From DC fans everywhere to The Joker's own voiceover, Mark Hamill simply cannot wait for the movie to be released, with promises of a release for "this summer," and given the sheer quality of what we've been shown so far in the trailer, we're torn between, "take as long as you need" and, "when the hell is this movie gonna be out?
