24 ISSUE 87 / 2016 FESTIVALS 2016 is the festival's second year as Berlin's international queer festival, representing a truly diverse array of talent from all across the LGBT spectrum and beyond. This year will be headlined by Mykki Blanco and Le1f, two rappers from the USA whose unique, distinctive styles have seen them carve out a place for themselves in hip hop. The lineup also includes Karin Park, Zhala, Christeene, Kablam, High Fashion, Kiddy Smile and Easter. The event takes place between the 29 and 30 July in Musik Und Frieden and Postbahnhof and features alternative queer artists, live bands and performers, with a focus on showcasing female and trans-identified artists. The Avalanches are joining the fun at Wild Life this June. "Brighton's airport will be transformed into a playground for us to get wild in. And with names like Annie Mac, Carl Cox, Andy C, DJ EZ, Eats Everything, Busta Rhythms and The Avalanches billed getting wild shouldn't be too difficult. This year is the festival's second edition and they're so ready for round two! Last year they imprinted themselves as one of the premier electronic music festivals on the circuit. They bring a hotbed of talent to one of Britain's favourite seaside resorts for a weekend of fun, hopefully sun and complete madness. More @Guestlist.net
