Dance music events, including clubs and festivals have had super harsh restrictions placed upon them following the events at the cities edition of Time Warp in April. The mayor of Buenos Aires has banned future dance music events in the city until the city passes new drug laws. It comes after the death of six people at the cities edition of Time Warp, with 3 others being taken ill. The techno festival was scheduled to run across the 15th and 16th of April - but following the tragic incidents on its first night the second night was cancelled. The deaths at the event are being treated as drug related, though attendees also claim that the venue was too full and badly ventilated. As well as enforcing strict new measures that prohibits large scale dance music events in the city the festival organisers, Dell Producciones, is now under investigation. Authorities have cited over 30 people who are believed to be involved with the deaths and other crimes including 'facilitating a place to purchase controlled substances and negligence.' Maximiliano Avila, Dell Producciones attorney and Carlo Maria Garat, who was in charge of the festival's evacuation plan, have been taken into custody by the authorities and Dell Producciones present, Adrian Conci, turned himself in after being at large for nine days after the event.
