16 THE SHOP JULY 2016 Retractable Bed Cover Truck Hero, Ann Arbor, Michigan, offers the RetraxPRO MX, a powerful, durable, retractable truck bed cover. The RetraxPRO MX is made in the USA of heavy-duty aluminum slats for strength, and includes a powder-coat matte finish for style. It features sealed ball bearing rollers that allow for smooth, easy, one-handed operation, and the patented low-profile design lays flush with the rails and does not bulk up when open. The unique spiral track storage canister prevents the cover from rubbing on itself as it retracts to reduce unnecessary wear. Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil Red Line Oil, Benicia, California, presents its Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil, a high-performance synthetic for racing and off-road use. Featuring a film thickness greater than an SAE 75W250 yet with low fluid friction like 75W90, it is designed for heavily-loaded racing differentials and transmissions, as well as problem gearboxes. It is suitable for many performance racing applications including Sprint/midget/dirt late-model differentials, Detroit Lockers and spools, and NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car rear ends. It helps prevent tooth breakage and resists throw-off. 4Runner Fender Flares Bushwacker, Portland, Oregon, presents its Pocket Style Fender Flares for 2014-'16 Toyota 4Runner applications. Made in the USA, the flares provide 1.5-inches of tire coverage front and rear. Manufactured from 100-percent UV- protected Dura-Flex 2000 material, the durable flares include an OE matte black finish that won't fade, and are easily paintable. Featuring a bolt-on look, they apply with no sheet metal cutting, making installation easy. The flares survived a 4,800- mile trip from Montana to the Darien Gap in Panama on the web show Expedition Overland. Mini Versa Starter Shield Design Engineering Inc. (DEI), Avon Lake Ohio, offers its Mini Versa Starter Shield that protects starters and other components from the damaging effects of heat soak. Constructed of an aluminized heat-reflective material backed with a high-temperature-rated glass fiber insulation barrier, the thermal shield reflects radiant heat up to 2,000 degrees and direct heat up to 500 degrees. Made in the USA, it is designed to fit most mini- sized starters 5.25-inches-wide-by-16.5-inches-long. Simply trim to size, wrap around the component and secure. Full Floater Kit Currie Enterprises, Corona, California, introduces a new take on the Pro-Touring Full Floater Kit. Made in the USA, the kit uses a profiled billet steel housing end that accepts a Ford F-350 truck unit bearing pack. Currie has made its own chromoly spindle to fit the bearing pack that features 5-on-4-1/2- or 5-on-4-3/4-inch wheel bolt patterns. Unit bearings are 35 spline and 4340 chromoly or 300M axle shafts are supplied. The floater kit is available on the company's F9 fabricated 9-inch housing or the Centurion notch-back housing. Brake kit options are included. MADE IN THE USA PRODUCTS Roll-Up Truck Bed Cover Agri-Cover Inc., Jamestown, North Dakota, offers the ACCESS Original Roll-Up Cover that rolls open in seconds and stores neatly behind the cab, allowing full use of the truck's bed with no need to remove. The cover is fully sealed on all four sides, forming a tight barrier between the truck bed and cover. Cargo is safe and secure with the patented AUTOLATCH II, a locking system that releases both locks with one smooth action. The ACCESS Original Roll-Up Cover is made in the USA with double-coated vinyl that stays flexible to minus-40 degrees. Power Running Boards AMP Research, Tustin, California, presents its PowerStep Running Boards. Invented, engineered and built in America, the automatic, electric-powered running boards instantly extend when the truck door is opened, then retract safely out of sight when the door is closed. Providing improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and a clean, sleek OEM appearance, the lightweight, solid running boards and rugged die-cast linkage components are crafted of aircraft-quality aluminum, black-anodized and PTFE-coated for maximum corrosion protection.
