JULY 2016 THE SHOP 21 Mirror Upgrade MITO Corp., Elkhart, Indiana, offers the new 8 Series Mirror by Gentex that pairs a clean and modern look with the functionality of two of the hottest-selling mirror features: HomeLink and Compass. An upgrade for vehicle owners who want the styling of the frameless design, the safety of auto-dimming and the convenience of HomeLink and Compass, the mirrors are made in the USA. Chevy Truck Billet Hood Hinges Eddie Motorsports, Rancho Cucamonga, California, offers Billet Hood Hinges for 1958-'59 Chevy trucks. Engineered and machined at the company's headquarters, the hood hinges are designed as a direct bolt-on to update the standard stamped factory and spring assembly with slots to adjust the alignment. They are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to provide a secure foundation for the weight of the stock truck hood. To ensure smooth operation, sealed bearings are incorporated at pivot points. A number of finishes are available. Glide Plates Rancho Suspension, Monroe, Michigan, presents its heavy-duty, U.S.-made RockGEAR front and rear glide plates for Jeep Wrangler TJs and JKs running Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles or Dana 44 rear axles. The glide plates add protection and enhance performance for off-road applications. Mounting directly to the front axle casting, the front and rear glide plates are constructed from 1/4-inch, high-strength, low-alloy steel that protects the casting from direct impact. They include a rich, durable black powder-coat finish.
