Made in the USA, the company was set to debut a new lockable secure cover and dust cover in June. EZ-CUT JIG for Portable Band Saw Van Sant Enterprises, Pella, Iowa, presents its Trick-Tools EZ-CUT JIG that allows the use of a Milwaukee Deep Cut Portaband as a portable chop saw and as an upright band saw. The EZ-CUT JIG easily attaches to Milwaukee Heavy-Duty Band Saws, models 6232-20 and 2729-20. The adjustable fence allows users to cut from 30- to 90-degree angles in PVC pipe, conduit and most metals. Software Upgrade Hypertherm, Hanover, New Hampshire, introduces a major version upgrade to its ProNest advanced CAD/CAM nesting software for automated cutting. ProNest 2017 features include: manual nesting improvements, including drag array, anchor part to cursor and automatic bumping functionality for greater control and faster nesting; color by part property that fills parts with different colors based on a designated attribute; redesigned drill machine interface for plasma or oxy-fuel machines; and more. Portable Evaporative Coolers Portacool, Center, Texas, introduces the Portacool Jetstream series of portable evaporative coolers. The coolers feature designs engineered to generate significant airflow and provide superior cooling options for a variety of hot working environments. The Portacool Jetstream 240 offers the smallest footprint in the series. It is nimble and easily moved to cool garage or shop spaces up to 1,125 feet. The Jetstream 240 is equipped with KUUL Comfort evaporative media. SHOP TOOLS & EQUIPMENT SHOP TOOLS & EQUIPMENT Chevy Flywheel Locking Tool Allstar Performance, Watervliet, Michigan, introduces its Flywheel Locking Tool for small- and big-block Chevy applications. The tool is placed onto the rear block dowel pins to prevent the flywheel from turning while tightening or loosening the harmonic balancer, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate and cam gear bolts. The locking tool can be used on 153- and 168-tooth flywheels and flexplates. Battery Charger TecMate, Oakville, Ontario, introduces the OptiMate 7 Select battery-saving charger, the latest in the company's 12-volt lead-acid range. The charger includes charge selection for high-performance AGM batteries charged up 14.7 volts. The AmpMatic program adapts charge current up to a maximum of 10 amps according to battery size and condition, and regulates charge voltage to ambient temperature. Badly neglected/sulphated batteries can be rescued from as low as 0.5 volts.
