THE WOLVERINE 2016 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 173 MIDWEST TOP 25 10. Brendon White, ATH Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty High School White is listed as an ath‑ lete by Rivals.com, but he will likely play wide re‑ ceiver in college. He has good speed to get deep, dis‑ plays solid ball skills and is a threat after the catch. His 6‑2, 190‑pound frame allows him to play for jump balls, and he's also very strong. White is rated a four‑star recruit and is No. 81 overall prospect in the country. The No. 2 player in Ohio is the son of former Buckeye William White and solidly commit‑ ted to Ohio State. 11. Jaylen Harris, WR Cleveland Heights (Ohio) High School Harris uses his 6‑5, 205‑pound frame to establish position and box out smaller defensive backs. He has long arms and strong hands, and if a ball is in his area he usually comes down with it. Rivals.com has tabbed him as a four‑star player, the No. 6 recruit in Ohio and the No. 184 overall prospect nationally. Michigan has offered Harris, but he's been to Columbus many times and is more comfortable with Ohio State than any other school. 12. Isaiah Robertson, ATH Naperville (Ill.) Neuqua Valley High School Robertson, at 6‑2, 185 pounds, is a lean‑bodied athlete that most schools like at wide receiver. How‑ ever, Notre Dame, where he's committed, plans to bring him in as a safety. Rivals.com gives him a four‑star rating and lists him as the No. 3 player in Illi‑ nois and the No. 188 overall prospect in the country. 13. R.J. Potts, S Fishers (Ind.) High School Potts has a very long build at 6‑3, 195 pounds giving him the appear‑ ance of a big safety in the secondary. He moves very fluidly when defending against passes, and his size is an asset in supporting against the run. Potts — a four‑star recruit, the No. 2 player in Indiana and the No. 192 overall prospect nationally according to Rivals.com — is open in his recruitment, and plans to see Tennessee, Missouri, Notre Dame, Indi‑ ana and Penn State before his senior season. 14. Donovan Johnson, CB Detroit Cass Technical High School Johnson, at 5‑10, 169 pounds, is a bit small for a cover corner, but he is built well and has blazing 4.41 speed. Rivals.com lists him as a four‑star prospect, the No. 3 recruit in Michigan and the No. 200 overall player in the land. With offers from schools like Louisville, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin, among others, Johnson has plenty of options, but the in‑state powers weren't on that list at the beginning of the summer. 15. Sean Clifford, QB Cincinnati St. Xavier High School Clifford is a 6‑2, 207‑pound pro‑style quarterback, who relies on accuracy and footwork to succeed. He doesn't have a rocket arm, but he can make all of the throws and is a very smart QB. He is rated as a four‑ star talent, the No. 5 player in Ohio and the No. 163 overall prospect in the nation by Rivals.com. Clifford committed to Penn State in July 2015. 16. Cole Kmet, TE Arlington Heights (Ill.) St. Viator High School Kmet just looks like a tight end at 6‑4, 220 pounds. While he's more of a receiving tight end right now, he has the mentality to be a good blocker as well. Kmet — a four‑star re‑ cruit, the No. 4 player in Illinois and the No. 204 prospect in the nation according to Rivals. com — committed to Notre Dame last Oc‑ tober over offers from Baylor, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina and several others. 17. Joshua Ross, LB Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's Preparatory Ross continues to develop and improve and is now up to 6‑0 and 219 solid pounds. The younger brother of for‑ mer Michigan linebacker James Ross III is longer and bit more naturally athletic than his sibling. Joshua will follow in big bro's footsteps and play for Michigan. Ross is considered a four‑star prospect, the No. 4 player in his home state and the No. 206 overall recruit in the nation by Rivals.com.
