22 FASHION www.guestlist.net Issue 40 / 2012 DESIGNER OF TH BOL$HIE A mix between the Latino lover and stereotypical slut creates the perfect symbol of fashion. Who's hiding behind fashion label Bol$hie? The brand was launched in 2010 by designer Rhiannon Jones, who really understands what the brand aims to show. Jones is a non-conformist, and Bol$hie was born from her reluctance to wear what she was told to, some- thing that she was eventually kicked out of school for. Rhi- annon decided to move to London and set herself up as an independent fashion designer. Bol$hie designs could be described as a fusion of cultures: a subculture trend blend between Buffalo shoes and djel- laba, or between studded sleeveless denim jackets with Burberry shirts. This isn't everyone's idea of fashionable but this is, in fact, avant garde clothing. Rhiannon's view of fashion strongly influences her brand. Like her, a large portion of the people wearing her creations can be found in the underground world (just check it out for yourself on their Facebook page). Bol$hie beanies and caps are well fitted and the designs are simple with an efficient, sleek look. They are designed to be part of an outfit and balance out with some of the more complex items, such as fully printed leather blazers and sneaker boots. Now, GET BOL$HIE!
