ISSUE 88 / 2016 15 FILM Finding Dory had the biggest domestic opening ever for an animated film, making $136.2 million - taking the crown from Shrek the Third. The film's certainly made a big splash, opening on 4,305 theatres and topping Central Intelligence reaching $35.5 million. It's also the first animated film to hit the top 20 overall films in opening reaching 18th. The story builds on the much loved character Dora from the original Finding Nemo. We follow her as she attempts to reunite with her parents. The film also looks into the very serious issue of human waste ending up in the ocean. The sequel of Disney's Finding Nemo smashed the box offices.
