NEWS: HIGH CONTRAST HAS A NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS There's no half measure on this one. The man, the legend - High Contrast has a new album coming. "One of the most respected producers in the game, High Contrast has a new album coming this year. The Welsh superstar has remained a consistent force in the liquid drum & bass scene with a staggering 5 studio albums, 4 huge compilation albums, and a tonne of high profile remixes under his belt. This year High Contrast will be dropping his 6th album on 3 beat. He's already premiered his first track from the project, 'Remind Me' which has already gathering a lot of support. As expected it's proper hands in the air, feel good liquid music. He's stayed true to his form and sorted an amazing crossover record that'll do just as well in the clubs as it will day time radio. Now all we can do is wait for the album, but if it sounds as good as this then we're all in for a treat! We can also catch him headling Hospitality's London festival this September" "Jem One lands back on the 36 Hertz camp with a killer EP, finally focusing on souly drum & bass. He's swapped his usual old skool style for a tough jungle blaster of a project. Heading the EP is Damned If You Do, a loud mouthed jungle riddim. Those amen's smash so hard with slabs of bass crushing you down, this track is not for the faint hearted. Sounding direct from 92, Jem One sorts industrial strength on everything, ensuring maximum club damage. Hardcore junglism for the people, once again Vapour's 36 Hertz delivers." TRACK OF THE MONTH: JEM ONE - DAMNED IF YOU DO ARTIST OF THE MONTH: ELEPHANT DREAMS OPENS PEREZ'S 1985 One of the most prolific, innovative names in drum & bass and beyond debuts on his label. Alix Perez is a true heavyweight in dark, experimental music. His sound has constantly evolved and bent the rules. After a string of big release both as a solo and collab, the Belgian producer has opened a new label, 1985 with a debut from himself. The Elephant Dreams EP sees him going back to his drum & bass routes with jaw dropping results. Hefty, clear cut and dark, it's serious liquid bass for those blacked out basements. Big sounds, and this is only the beginning.
