We were ready for a serious weekend of amazing tunes and thumping beats, which would make this Bank Holiday one to remember. The sun was shining and the drinks were flowing. What better conditions for raving in a field? Every tent on both days was packed with the creme de la creme of today's dance music scene - as always with festivals, it was difficult to see everyone! Monday was a pure wipeout - but when you have a weekend like that, it really is worth it. The lineups for We Are just seem to be getting better every year and we can't wait to see who they have in store for 2017! NEWS FLASH HIP HOP / RNB HOUSE / TECHNO DRUM & BASS INDIE / ROCK REGGAE What happens on tour, goes on Instagram? Chris Brown was fined by the authorities in Amsterdam after being caught riding a dirt bike with no license plates. He documented the whole thing on Instagram, wrapping up the whole ordeal joking around with the police as they pretend to handcuff the R&B star. Diplo calls out DJ Culture In a recent interview with Billboard, the US star vented about 'a really lame culture'. He claimed 'the DJ world is the corniest fucking group of people. We're not famous for any good reason.' His words followed being crowned Billboard's dance artist of the year. Happy 3rd Birthday! Blackout has had 3 big years in the game. Quickly establishing themselves as a go to label for all things heavy and dark, they'll be celebrating with a killer compilation. Features massive remixes from their biggest originals - it's fire! Primal's summer quickly finishes up The Scottish group's frontman, Bobby Gillespie, toppled off a stage in Switzerland severally injuring his back. So no more shows till at least the end of July, doctor's order! They were due to perform at Beat- Herder, Secret Garden Party and seven other festivals in Europe. Alkaine's UK tour gets off to a bad start The Jamaican reggae/dancehall star had the first two dates of his UK tour cancelled by police. The debut show in Luton was cancelled by police after a 'risk assessment', before the gig in Birmingham was blown out following police concerns over public safety. WE ARE FSTVL MORE @GUESTLIST.NET Its mid afternoon in Hackney, the sun is shining brightly down on Haggerston Park where Rinse FM and Found Series have teamed up for a weekend of utter madness. Bathing in the sun, and taking in waves of bass - Born & Bred festival brought together the sounds of London and beyond. The vibe was huge with the very best in grime, drum & bass and everything inbetween all gathered in one field soundtracking the party. A party is wahat it was, across the two days Congo Natty, Logan Sama, Calibre, P Money, ILOVEMAKONEN and many more took to the stages shaking the place with all that bass. Such a wealth of talent how could you not jump around and have a skank? Thanks Rinse & Found - Born & Bred was sick, we can't wait for next year!
