5 DENVER CATHOLIC | JULY 23-AUGUST 12, 2016 30 YEARS OF MERCY 1986 2016 Meet Barbara. She traveled to Denver to seek a better life. Divorced and jobless, Barbara was living on the streets. Her disability checks were not enough to afford her own place. Barbara survived by staying at some shelters, but her belongings were stolen. She then came to Samaritan House where she received clean clothes, boots and toiletries. Barbara says it's one of the best shelters in Denver. It's been a long road, but Barbara is confident that with our help, she can discover God's plan for her life.
