The 1991 LP, will singles 'Bang', 'There's No Other Way' and 'She's So High', hit number seven in the charts on it's inital release, and to celebrate the record's 25th birthday, Blur have decided to bring it back for another go. Remastered at Abbey Road and coming out as a blue 12", it will be dropped via Parlophone, on August 26th, exactly 25 years to the day that it first graced our ears. NEWS: BLUR TO RE-ISSUE LEISURE ALBUM OF THE MONTH: HELIOTROPES - OVER THERE THAT WAY Heliotropes new album Over There That Way is a beautiful journey through a mellow psychedelic haze and easy on the ear, classic guitar riffs. Even though this second release from Heliotropes takes us through lots of different rock genres and references to different periods of time; such as the classic saxophone on Wherever you Live to punky guitar strums on War isn't over, it somehow makes sense. The lyrics for the album are inspired by front woman Jessica Numsuwankijkul's fascination of World War 1 and WW2 as well as the period in between (interwar). You can imagine her using war as a metaphor for talking about things that can be difficult to talk about, and her beautiful dreamlike vocals bound in a marriage of melodic instruments is what makes this album intriguing and interesting throughout. TRACK OF THE MONTH: MODEL AEROPLANES - WHATEVER DRESS SUITS YOU BETTER Scottish indie-pop quartet Model Aeroplanes drop 'Whatever Dress Suits You Better' Inspired by early Top of The Pops and The Word TV shows, the band - Ben Buist, Grant Irvine, Kieran Smith and Rory Fleming-Stewart - reveals that the visuals were conceived, filmed and edited over the space of a weekend, "we came up with the idea within the band and then shot, directed and produced it ourselves, it really gave us the creative freedom. We wanted to show the band playing live, but not playing live, in a fun way none of the instruments were plugged in and this is all really apparent." The single, which shows a more playful side to the band, has proved to be one of the most popular tracks on their EP Something Like Heaven.
