54 ISSUE 89 / 2016 REGGAE TRACK OF THE MONTH: NATTY - STREETLIGHTS Brazilian reggae superstars, O Rappa, are coming back to London on Saturday August 13th for a show at Electric Brixton. Natty releases new single 'streetlights' After coming back from a sold out UK tour, Natty's success is sky high at the moment as he's just released his new single 'Streetlights'. His success has given him worldwide attention after his number one hit song 'Badman'. His unique sound is like no other and he mixes different cultural and spiritual vibes to connect with his wide range of fans. He's performed on Later With Jools Holland, The Electric Proms and toured the US with the legendary G that is Ziggy Marley! His new album 'Release The Fear' will be release on July 1st. The band, who were voted 'Best Brazilian Show of 2015' will return to play more songs from their latest album Nunca Tem Fim (It Never Ends). The show will also feature classic hits that have defined their 20 years as a band, including 'Me Deixa', 'Pescador de Ilusões', 'Mar de Gente', and 'Boa Noite Xangô', as well as some unreleased tracks from their last DVD filmed live in Recife. The band is famous for mixing samba with dub, drum & bass with funk, and using their lyrics to speak out about social issues, raising awareness about racism and protesting against police violence. At the heart of this new tour is the band's passion for mixing new technologies and programs with their existing repertoire. Artists like Grooverider, Channel One Sound System and the Bug have been paying tribute to him. NEWS: BRAZILIAN REGGAE GROUP O RAPPA TO HIT BRIXTON ALBUM OF THE MONTH: REBELUTION - FALLING INTO PLACE Californian reggae roots band, Rebelution, recently new album, 'Falling Into Place' is at the top of the reggae billboard charts. With a huge world tour coming soon, the US band have made their fifth studio album a big success, especially in their home country, the land of the free. The album consists of 11 dope tracks with 'Inhale Exhale' featuring reggae legend Protoje and 'Santa Barbara' featuring Shashin K. It's one of their best albums to date and that is clearly evident to have far they've gotten through the charts over their career. Set to be their summer anthem 'Know It All' which is euphorically filled with horns and that pure reggae sound that gets everyone pumped. It is pure fire.
