The tops the teams wore had #BlackLivesMatter and #Dallas5 on them after two innocent black men were shot and then five police officers shot on July 7th in Dallas. Teams New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury and Indiana Fever were fined $5,000 (£3,773) which is a ridiculous amount of money for wearing different t-shirts. Each player that wore the tops were fined $500 (£377) each. The WNBA have stated that their rules say that uniforms may not be altered in any way. But c'mon, surely they didn't deserve to be fined for wearing a plain black t-shirt with a bit of writing on it. Seems to us that there's a bigger reason as to why they fined the teams. Maybe because the mainstream media in America constantly seem to want to cover up the BLM movement when really everyone should come together and see that what's happening in the US, has to stop. Phoenix Mercury's forward Mistie Bass tweeted, "Don't say we have a voice and then fine us because we use it." Power to the people! So if you are driving into a car park with a tunnel, double and triple check for signs telling what the clearance height is, then double and triple check the sign inside your van saying how tall the van is. If these don't match, don't risk it. If you can't see the sign telling how the bridge is, look again. There's nothing worse than a van with no roof and a whole load of shopping on the floor, like something straight out of a Charlie Chaplin film.
