SEPTEMBER 2016: TOP 5 MOVIE RELEASES 14 ISSUE 90 / 2016 FILM Rooftops, backyards, Secret gardens, this summer outdoor cinemas are more exciting and interesting than ever. We have been to some of the best al fresco film screenings that London had to offer. We caught [Ray] at the Backyard Cinema in Camden Lock Market, a lovely venue where they had a small bar complete with drinks, popcorn and burgers as well as plenty of deck chairs and silk covers, just in case. Such great vibes. The Backyard Cinema offers a selection of new releases as well as beloved classics, as well as music-related screenings. In case you missed it, it takes place during the first weeks of August. We could attend this summer Our Secret Little Garden, where we had the possibility of escaping the huge traffic-load in the middle of the city, enjoying great food and open-air cinema. The festival goes from 20th of August to 11th of September at Library. The courtyard at LIBRARY is turned into a summer garden and each weekend will feature different street food, games, and outdoor cinema from 9.30pm with classics like Grease or Romeo+ Juliet. We didn't miss the Pop Up Screens which is a pop up cinema that bring classic movies to cool locations. This is the fourth summer for the outdoor cinema and we attended the Jurassic Park's venue at the spot-on Ravenscourt Park. There are venues at East Greenwich Pleasaunce and Coram's Field, as well. There is a perfect atmosphere thanks to the incredible sorroundings and the efficient staff. You can spend a whole summer in London without catching a movie on one of these Outdoor cinemas! It's a great chance to live a great cinema-experience "en plein air". Enjoy a great movie in more exciting surroundings than the usual closed space.
