Dance music legend Shir Khan is bringing us the best of his Berlin label Exploited with a compilation album. Since forming in 2007, Exploited has broken a whole host of electronic talent - the label's back catalogue includes music from Julio Bashmore, Metronomy and Fort Romeau, and they turned Claptone from an unknown artist into one of the biggest names in the dance arena. Dancing & Romancing will showcase the best of the label's past five years, delving into their diverse roster and depth of talent. Mammoth deep house dance-floor fillers such as Claptone's 'No Eyes' and Mike Dunn's 'Let's Get To It' sit alongside progressive, forward- thinking tracks such as Light Year's 'Never Know' and Sirens Of Lesbos' '7 Years In Tibet'. The project also features fan favourites such as Adana Twins' 'Strange' and Dr Dru's 'Voice Of Doctor'. Dancing & Romancing will be released as a double CD and triple vinyl - with many label classics appearing for the first time on wax - and is sure to become essential listening. NEW RELEASES Five years at the top of the game, this year will be no different Intec boss Carl Cox puts his spin on the 2014 Josh Wink cut. The Hydra will once again flood London's club circuit, throwing regular parties from until December. Drifting across the city, The Hydra have secured dates at some the best venues from; Troxy, Village Underground and of course their spiritial home Studio Spaces. Locking down the best selectors there season offers clubbers a sick mix of house, techno, disco and all things in between and with Ben UFO, Richie Hawtin, Dixon, Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, Floating Points the calibre of names you know it's gonna be huge. It's a two-tracker from Intec as co-head Jon Rundell also gives the track a rework, taking it into darker techno territory but it's the Carl Cox interpretation that we've got blasting through the speakers. Boasting the original's 'I'm Talking To You' vocal sample set, Cox sets it to a driving tech-house rhythm with a looped-up manipulated chord riff and plenty of squelchy acid bleeps. This impressive two- track offering follows a host of quality 2016 Intec releases including the Beatport chart topping 'Intec 100', which last saw Carl and Jon team up to deliver a release well worthy of its billing.
