How is life is at the moment? I am just out here, trying to main- tain and trying to make sure that I get every project out that I said I will get out, to get them out as soon as possible. Trying to stick to my word. Describe your current state of mind? Progress, building a brand and being focused on what I am trying to do. It's many angles and it's a kind of a cliche, I wanna blow but in my situation It's more of a platform I am trying to build. A lot of your music right now, sounds really well produced, you are quite developed as an artist. It has been a journey for you, tell me a bit about the be- ginning of it. I'll say it has been a long progress, I started a while back. I grew up on U.S. Hip-hop, and it took me ages to get to the level I'm on now, to "rap as you talk" and now I am ready to do it properly, and from my soundcloud you can see the progress, the development through the years. Tell me about the session with Roots Maneuver It was so long ago, it was crazy. Basically I went to do a battle competition. That specific day I went to do a showcase with two other guys, my guys put me on the spot and were like you are go- ing to do it. I thought, you know what, I am still new and I have a point to prove and so I went on. I got this deal and organised this session with Roots. I didn't get what was going on. I took it as a good experience, he had a studio in Angel town and everybody used to go there. I spent it about three months there. He tried to do a record with me, but at the time I wasn't ready, I wasn't ready to do a song. If you do give something now, I will be able to do it, but at that time no. What about the name. Tell me more about it. Ether 9, well, when I was young I was reading a lot on the Holy Books of Tiwanaku. I think I am quite separate from the norm. I am strong about lots of things. At the moment I don't fit in anywhere, it cannot be the right name except for something like this. Are you dumb? That's the hot tune that is live right now.... The tape that I am trying to release is spur of the moment- situation. A lot of rappers tend to be premeditated. I wanted it to be like a diary, far from a conceptual album. In that specific day I had dark humour. I was kind of going with the feeling, instead of the conceptual feeling. The tape is a day-by-day feeling, opposite to premeditated. So you were on the battle circuit. I think like every MC at some point you do it to get tested, you have to prove you are able to handle it and you have balls. I won't lie I think that freestyling is dope, but you learn a lot, to master songwriting and it took me two years and when you come from a mixtape artist to a proper artist, it's different. Now production wise what you are looking for right now. I am looking for my own sound, basically. The new stuff, I am try- ing to find my own beat drum to.
