See My Vision is the exciting debut project from 19-year old London singer, songwriter and musician Althea Produced and co-written with burgeoning musician and producer Dayo, See My Vision is a very bold statement of intent from Althea. With glorious R&B sensibilities and infectious bass-heavy musical backdrops, Althea displays her captivating vocal abilities, raw and relatable storytelling skills, and artistic versatility, throughout the project. From the upbeat opening track 'Ride' and the sultry piano-led 'Without You' which sees Althea pining for her estranged lover, to the defiant 'Telling Stories' and 'Practice' with its moody and atmospheric R&B soundscape, Althea has certainly delivered an exciting addition to British R&B. The 21-year-old rapper from Philadelphia is on the rise The pair team up for a summer anthem In the last month alone, Tunji Ige dropped the Prince Of July mixtape to mark his 21st birthday and played a packed out show at Dalston's Birthdays as part of his first ever European tour, and he shows no signs of slowing down, with a US tour alongside gnash coming in October, followed by a US and European tour with Lil Dicky and Dram. Over the last couple of years, Ige has been making a name for himself by dropping EPs and mixtapes on the Bad Habit Records/Brain Bandits label. His breakthrough release was The Love Project, which was recorded around various locales in Philadelphia—including his parents' house and his West Chester University dorm room. He followed that with Missed Calls, which blends light and dark, gritty tones and brighter melodies, marking it as a step up from The Love Project. The record made it into Complex's Best Albums of 2016 (So Far) list, drawing comparisons to Drake's So Far Gone. As well as his rapping and singing ability, Ige also produces the bulk of his own material, making him a true triple threat, and definitely one to have on your radar. Incisive's punchy flow and Shakka's smooth soulful vocals "brings the sun out, baseline for your waist line" as Julie Adenuga from Beats 1 remarked. 'Push' is infused with an infectious, feel-good beat combined with a splash of mellow R&B sound, courtesy of Shakka's vocals. Incisive and Shakka are certainly not strangers to collaborating with each other and they have worked together on a number of tracks in the past. This included the bangers 'This Groove', 'Where Is He', 'Sober' and 'Just Wait'. ONE TO WATCH: TUNJI IGE TRACK OF THE MONTH: INCISIVE FEAT.
