14 / SEPTEMBER.OCTOBER.2016 RINKMAGAZINE.COM NGB News USA Hockey & U.S. Figure Skating , USA Hockey is excited to announce the launch of the new Club Excellence program. Club Excellence is an online portal system designed to give the 2,500 USA Hockey associations a unique home to drive organizational success. This acts as a home-base for local association boards to stay organized, keep informed on the latest youth hockey developments, access resources and improve their communication with youth hockey families. To get started, the local association President or Vice President would need to submit for access. Once confirmed, they can invite the rest of the board to join them in the portal. Each leader has a job description, monthly tasks and a resource center with quick reference templates and best practice guides that relates specifically to their association board role. In addition, an event management tool is available to assist associations with host- ing active and effective board meetings. To help drive a more focused communication , More skaters are getting on the ice! U.S. Figure Skating membership for the 2015-16 season increased by 1.9 percent from 2014-15 figures.
