The Moon Harbour label boss is releasing his second full length LP Arriving eight years after his debut LP Restless, Momentum demonstrates that his artistic restlessness has not been decreasing over the last couple of years. Recently Matthias has been enjoying success with collaborations with the likes of Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Daniel Stefanik, but now he's firing on all cylinders as a solo artist. Momentum shows a subtle return to some of Tanzmann's earliest musical roots, as he explains, "It is stuff to listen to at home, stuff I like to listen to away from the club", before adding that, "of course, it also contains tracks that are 100% what I love playing in my DJ sets." Initially starting during his times abroad in Thailand and South America, the album has been slowly coming together over the last five years. From deep, broody house to infectious, funky jams to sultry downtempo vibes to soul-infused party grooves, Momentum is the perfect mix of listening pleasure and dancefloor beats, showcasing Matthias' skill in carrying the listener across a hypnotic journey of house music. NEW RELEASES Ain't no fire damage stopping the guys at Studio 338 Don't Strutt is released via CR2 Trax In the face of adversity the team behind Studio 338 have bounced back and shown incredible courage. Last month a fire left their premier terrace venue gutted. Only a month on and the team aren't going to let the fire stop them from dancing. The team will be converting another one of their venues into a new hub for quality underground music. Called The Bridge, it's located in the heart of East London and will open in November. 338's Music and Events Director Dan Perrin said that the 'plan is to create a program which is a mix of residencies from some of the most forward thinking promoters and DJ's, as well as staging long sets from some of the worlds best selectors for our in house series of events'. Currently playing his Sankeys Ibiza residency across Tribal Sessions and Abode, Secondcity has dropped new track 'Don't Strutt'. The lead single, and one of ten exclusives, from his upcoming CR2 Live & Direct Presents 001 mix, 'Don't Strutt' is a club banger. The track kickstarts with a whopping bassline and choppy percussion that leads into a deep, distorted male vocal. A hooky synth emerges before leaving the overpowering bass to bring 'Don't Strutt' to a striking close.
