ROSARITO BEACH 20TH SCORE DESERT CHALLENGE RECAP
AMPUDIA AND CESENA
CONTINUE UNDEFEATED
The Ampudia team in their number
838 Ford F-150, finished first in class and
sixth overall. Alan and Aaron Ampudia
continue to dominate the class and have
earned enough points to pretty much
secure their first Class 8 championship
this year. A class win at the SCORE Baja
1000 will mean a huge victory for them,
especially after moving from Class 1/2-
1600 this year. "It's great that we were
able to have a race in Rosarito Beach and
I think it will grow because it is such a fun
track," said Aaron Ampudia. "It's a weekend
and completely different from what is
in Ensenada and San Felipe. I think it will
grow and become the next Laughlin."
In Class 5, Victor Cesena also remains
undefeated this year, winning in Rosarito
Beach with his co-driver Gerardo Iribe. "We
had an awesome race and I was happy to
have my son Chuy co-ride with me this
year," said Iribe. "We had to pace ourselves
and make sure we didn't make a mistake
