By Natalie Joy Lee # SIHEM JACQUES, general manager Asia Pacific, TemptingPlaces, Paris, France Asia is definitely cosier than Berlin. It's also the first time I'm seeing a conference programme as well as floor plans online. ITB is getting better and more organised. As a collection of independent boutique hotels worldwide, this show has been a great platform for us to meet potential hoteliers. I would say Indonesia and Thailand are showing the most potential. We've seen better quality walk-ins this year, and several of our overseas agents who flew in just for the show – this says a lot about the ITB name. Being here allows us to feel the pulse of where the industry is going, and the excitement of networking. We've definitely set up meaningful discussions with Japan, Philippines and some long-haul markets. # SHWITA SUHARTO, co-founder, Perfect Holiday Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia When we look for new suppliers, there's typically a lack of trust. But when we meet at ITB, there's a lot more confidence in our dealings. In three days, we get to meet everyone relevant to our outbound travel packages, while also gleaning new ideas and connecting with emerging exotic places such as Iran and Kenya.
