A&E DECEMBER 2016 • a-e-mag.com 63 ID Plates Mesquite, Texas; VP of Marketing: Jaclyn Wyatt Relay for Life "We have a team of dedicated Relay for Life 'Metalheads' (as they like to be called) who have raised close to $30,000 to fight cancer, and the team continues to amaze us with innovative ways to raise money for this wonderful organization. The Metalheads have been working with the organization since 2009." ID Honors "Recently we started a new program at Identification Plates, ID Honors, to raise funds with a handful of our metal products. It all began when our employees wanted to raise money for the families of the Dallas Police and DART officers who were killed in action on July 7, 2016. And beyond raising money, it has been magical to watch our employees hand out 'Back the Blue' and '#DallasStrong' items to officers patrolling our neighborhoods, grabbing a sand- wich at the deli, or in the checkout line at the grocery store. I am so proud that our first endeavor supports the Assist the Officer Foundation through 'Back the Blue' and '#DallasStrong' items." JDS Industries Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Communications Specialist: Brenna Walsh JA Bowl-A-Thon "This is the second year that JDS (is participating) in the JA Bowl- A-Thon, with JDS scheduled for October 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon is one of the major fundraisers that Junior Achievement hosts to raise funds for their program. It costs $325.00 per team to participate. Participants arrive at their scheduled event time and are all given a Junior Achievement T-shirt and entered into drawings for additional prizes." The Banquet The mission of The Banquet is to provide a welcoming place where people can gather, receive nourishment, and experience love in action and to assist volunteers in providing food and fellowship to those served through the ministry of The Banquet.
