Deep bass explorer, sMILOdon takes things back to the root with his latest release. Following his experimental album, the Shaman LP sMILOdon tones things down for his next release Ivan's Sound. Unadulterated dub sounds, with a funky bassline and incredible psychedelic spin outs on acoustics instruments throughout the riddim. As with his LP earlier this year, sMILOdon has experimented with tribal flavours in the track. Also on the release is two sick remixes coming from Roommate and ENiGMA Dubz. Roommate goes a little more tribal adding a cheeky flute amoug other sounds while ENiGMA Dubz goes a little more down the dubstep route. This is a seriously relaxed groove that needs to be in your playlists now. Working over previously unseen footage, the UK don has pieced together a sick collection of reggae and dub tunes to play over the programmes mind blowing footage of jungles across the world. It's thirty minutes of visual and audio bliss, if that won't chill you out what will? Benji B also got the chance to soundtrack exclusive footage. ALBUM OF THE MONTH: CRT CLSSX CRT CLSSX, the new project from Jamie Rodigan and Aaron Horn, releases debut EP ONE CRT CLSSX was born out of an extraordinary relationship between producer Jamie Rodigan and singer- songwriter Aaron Horn. Born to the legendary David Rodigan and Trevor Horn, Aaron and Jamie have both enjoyed commercial and critical success individually. The joint project came about through a shared love for dancehall and bass, as the duo explain, "We took some of those key elements and built a vibe in the studio over the course of a few months. It's pop and dancehall merging into blissful island rhythms". With their debut single 'Habits' getting love from the likes of Redbull Music, Mixmag and Mistajam, their second single 'Everything' featuring Secaina, went off the same way. These big hitters are joined on the EP by remixes from Alizzz and Afriquoi, showcasing the duo's skills in blending dancehall, jungle and trap into their own island sound.
