The two-day RINKexpo will be held May 11- 12 at the Crowne Plaza. Complete your orders for next season and interact with the industry's prominent vendors. We look forward to seeing our indus- try peers and professionals at NARCE 2010! Importance of Development Professional development is becom- ing more prominent in the rink industry every year. The comments we receive at the training classes reinforce the fact that individuals are taking the training not only to make their facilities better, but to enhance their own skills and mar- ketability. With the economy the way it is, facili- ties need to operate more efficiently than ever before. The only way to know you are doing this is by interacting and learning from others within the industry. We have heard many stories of how just one tip learned at a training class was more then enough to justify the cost and time it took to attend the training class. When STAR was created, it was a goal to see that the CIT designation was a requirement for employment in many U.S. facilities, and that is becoming a reality in our industry. So help your facil- ity and yourself by attending a STAR training course near you! ★ professional development ■ Allow Training to Advance Your Career S 50 R INK MAGAZ INE march/april 2010 STARrinks.com Individuals are training not only to make their facilities better, but to enhance their own skills and marketability.
